The Pacific Northwest: From the Sea to the Sky

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest, where rain reigns and bustling cities clash among lush landscapes. Road-tripping hot spots like Portland, Seattle and Vancouver are famous for their quirky nightlife and plenty of outdoor opportunities to keep you occupied during the day.

Bike around Vancouver’s scenic seaside Stanley Park, climb above the treetops of Capilano Park’s vertigo-inducing suspension bridge, try not to anger gaggles of geese along Seattle’s industrial Gas Works Park, and wade through neck-high water on a waterfall hike in Portland’s Oneonta Gorge.

When it came to packing, there were two things I could definitely not do without on this trip: some comfy sneakers and my Samsung NX mini.

While the Pacific Northwest is notorious for rainy weather, we somehow avoided the torrential downpours, experiencing only the typical 24-7 gloom. Even so, there was a calm beauty to all the grey, and it a nice change to have a series of photos that were more muted in color. So from the sky-high bridges of Capilano to the seaside cityscapes we began our adventure, documenting our escapades along the way…
