Welcome to La Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, the place to watch bullfighting in Spain. Located in the capital city of Madrid, this bullring has seen the rise and fall of many matadors, and is the gleam in the eyes of many future toreros. Las Ventas can fill its stadium walls with up to 25,000 people, cheering in anticipation of the dramatic la corrida, or bullfight.
With my Samsung NX mini in hand, I entered through “La Puerta Grande” and wandered through the halls and patios, imagining what it must have been like during the very first fights. To capture the drama, I decided to shoot my photos using the “Vignetting” smart filter, which darkens the edges of your photos, intensifying the overall shot. It also creates the effect of applying a high contrast saturated filter.
Note: To shoot in Vignetting mode, select MENU while in shooting mode, click the camera icon, and select SMART FILTER.
